About Machynys
The Monk’s Island course opened in 2005 and is the only Nicklaus-designed championship course in Wales. Measuring more than 7,100 yards from the back tees, it uses multiple teeing areas to provide an appropriate challenge for golfers of different abilities.
Machynys has hosted a number of significant championships and is supported by a modern clubhouse, practice facilities and the TrackMan-equipped Golf Centre. Its position near Llanelli makes it well suited to itineraries combining Machynys with Ashburnham and courses on the Gower Peninsula.
